i have a ten year old daughter and i used cloth diapers and rubber pants on her when she was a baby.she potty trained at 3 years old but continued to have accidents untill she was in first grade.i used traing pants and the rubberpants on her for school.she finially stopped.she made her first communion at 7 and i knew she would be excited so i made a cute diaper for her and pinned it on her then put white rubberpants on over it that she wore under her communion dress.even tho she is 10now i still keep two pair of rubberpants in her drawer just in case.

That baby is just precious! I made and used cloth diapers on my second baby and I believe I used a Simplicity or McCalls pattern. I still had to use rubber pants because I had no idea what else to use! Unfortunately I had to use disposables on my third because for some reason she was a very smelly baby and cloth diapers only made it worse!!

I’ve been cloth-diapering and have had a lot of success with the Chloe Toes pattern (http://www.chloetoesboutique.com). NAYY, etc, but I’m really happy with the resultant diapers. I’m also thinking of trying gussets to help prevent poop leakage – haven’t tried it yet, but this tutorial (http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/gussets.html) makes it look pretty easy.
