I adore this dress.
I don’t know why, and I am not even going to try to analyze the reasons.
Well, maybe I will, just a little. Cute cut, great fabric, adore the solid black band along the side and over the shoulder. I think I should make it. I have almost the perfect fabric albiet in a knit, and I am almost positive that this is a woven – silk likely. The red shoes are a great added touch too! Of course Drew Barrymore is just too cute for words, but no one around here is going to know that I knocked off got my inspiration from her and Naricso Rodriguez!
And silly me just offered to manage the RTW and Designer Knock-Off Contest at Patternreview . As a manager I can’t enter the contest, but I could do this as my own little sew-along during it!

Great dress! I suspect that it’s not a print. It looks like applique to me.
Definitely cute. I thought it was applique as well.
Someone sent me a link to this and I love it as well. I don’t think it would work for pear shaped me, alas. Like Claudine and MaryPat, I thought applique.
I love this dress too. I love black and white and she rarely makes a mistake in her red carpet dressing. The red shoes are wonderful as I sit here with my red shoes on. Hers are a bit more fabulous than mine.
I agree that it’s probably silk. Gorgeous.
What a totally fabulous dress..amazing!
Great dress! And congratulations to the future grandma and mommie to be! You’ll have fun sewing for the baby.
You definitely need to make that dress. It’s a shame you’re managing that particular contest, but maybe sewing along with the contest will actually make you sew it sooner rather than later. I’m thinking about sewing along with a RTW top I want to copy, and I know how easily it could sink to the bottom of the pile if I don’t push myself.
