I always loved monogrammed things for my kids. Our teacher's union sent a monogrammed bear for DS#1 after he was born. It's still on his bed and he's almost 13. And I just made a monogrammed quilt for my great nephew with his baby "stats". It just makes for a very personalized item for a specific child.

OMG!! How wonderful!! I made a zillion Kwik-Sew sleepers (with the zipper that goes all the way down one leg), and I also made (and still make for baby showers) bibs that have a ribbed neck opening (instead of ties) that allows you to slip it over the baby's head very easily. BTW on a very wierd note, the only thing that was ever 'pregnant' at the same time as me was my spider plant. I kid you not! Every time I was pregnant (and the only time) it sprouted babies. I was relieved when after my third came along, that damn plant died.

What fabulous news!

Ditto what Norma says: Any time I'd try to make a baby outfit they'd grow before I'd finish. I prefer to wait until they hit two years old when they can actually wear an outfit for a few months before they're out of it again.

Whoa! This is so exciting! Congratulations to you and Mike. When you come up with a good name to be called let me know. I'm not sure either, but I guess you can't go wrong with Grandma. It will be fun to have them so close together like ours are.
My sewing projects were always the same. i'd buy cute fabric cut it out and then they grew before I finished. It used to be a long standing joke around here. See you at the stag & doe to give you the congrats in person.

aw those patterns look so cute Connie! Jane (my mother in law of course) just showed me all the fabric and patterns she's using to make me some maternity clothes. I just love that she is wanting to do that for me. People who can sew are really the best people to know ;)
